Logically, after you were captured by the Organization, the most obvious place to look would be where they keep their prisoners.

... Really, it's something that's hard to explain. It's just something that you sense. That was the first time I was ever at The World That Never Was, yet I knew exactly where they kept their cells. Kind of like your heart was calling out to me.

So someone told you they caught me? [wait a minute....] Was it...a man named Axel?

[she places a hand over her chest reflexively.]

It's funny...I always thought it was hearts that connected people. But maybe it's something else, too...

I was actually with Axel before that happened. And then we parted ways.

[... and he went and kidnapped you. 8| ]

I think hearts do have to do with it. Even if you don't have one, the hearts of other people can still reach out to you.

Oh...I see. [but she knew Axel. that was something.]

[she knows this might get sensitive, so she's prepared for the other girl's refusal to explain. But she has to ask, anyway.]

What about...two people who don't have hearts?

I'm not sure. But... To be honest, I think that in the end it always comes back to Sora.

Axel and I had a lot of time to talk, and we both agreed that we think that Roxas can feel because he is Sora's Nobody. So, because we have connections with both Roxas and Sora, we can form bonds with each other.

None of this has been proven. I don't think we even can prove this. But it's what we think.

[She can only nod. Naminé doesn't seem...upset or bitter about this at all, but she feels a twinge of sympathy anyway.]

I wouldn't call myself an expert on hearts or anything...so I wouldn't know.

But I guess Sora really is special. [she shifts a bit in her seat.] He was just that boy I was friends with for most of our lives. Riku, too. And then all of a sudden...

Everything changed.

[ She laughs a little. She knows that kids tend to dream about going on dangerous adventures, but to actually be granted that... ]

And I'm sure that there's much more to him that we know. He's the one chosen by the Keyblade, after all.

[the Keyblade. There's so much she still doesn't know about it, despite having held one herself.]

But Riku has one, too. And...he gave me mine...I'm not really sure how that works. Doesn't it do the choosing?

Even I don't know much there-- Keyblades are a mystery in general. But Sora is a special case. His heart is something that people radiate to, and those bond that it creates make him stronger.

Sora's heart...

[she can buy that, definitely.] There's just...something about him, huh.

[she turns her head to look at Naminé again.]

But now he's here and doesn't remember much. Is that going to be okay?

[ Now that was the million dollar question. The fact that Sora is a year behind really does make things... difficult, to say the least. There's no point in pretending otherwise. ]

I don't think we should tell him everything at once. That would be way too much information for him to take. But the more time it takes, the more dangerous it gets for him...

[dangerous?]

The...Organization, you mean? Or it it something else?

The Organization, yes, but he has other enemies as well. If any of them show up...

[ahh, yes. She remembers some of those.]

Right...We'll just have to keep an eye out, and warn him.

Exactly.

There's also the matter that right now, he's weaker than when you saw him last. I think that Roxas was able to defeat him this time, which was something he wasn't able to do before.

[so Sora had gotten stronger and stronger while he was away...and now he'd been set back in that department, too? She sets her jaw a bit, in determination.]

Riku and I will protect him, don't worry.

I know you will.

Although... On that subject, have you tried summoning your Keyblade again?

Oh! [she shakes her head a bit. She hadn't thought about it, and nothing dangerous had happened since she'd arrived...well, better late than never, of course.]

[she holds her hand out in the air in front of her, concentrating. She's not exactly sure what to reach for, until she thinks back to when it first settled into her hands. A warm feeling, like it belonged there. She finds that feeling in her mind--in her heart, really--and pulls.]

[with that strange, familiar, almost chimelike sound, Destiny's Embrace materializes in her hand, keychain swinging gently back and forth.]

[ She smiles at that-- she managed to summon it rather quick, but it must be instinct. ]

I think that you should get lessons. You should ask Riku about it.

[she nods, taking a moment to look it over. She never really had the time to before...something about the flowers, and...well, she could puzzle over it later.]

You're right. I don't want to just sit around anymore. I need to be able to keep up with them.

From what I heard, you were pretty decent when you used it before. So it really shouldn't be too difficult for you to learn everything.

[she grins a bit sheepishly at the compliment.] I'm glad you think so! I heard something about a "magic class", too. Someone I spoke to was teaching it.
